Boards

Chipboard, is an engineered wood product manufactured from wood chips, sawmill shavings, or even sawdust, and a synthetic resin or other suitable binder, which is pressed and extruded. Oriented strand board, also known as flake board, wafer board, or chipboard, is similar but uses machined wood flakes offering more strength. All of these are composite materials that belong to the spectrum of fiberboard products. Particle board is cheaper, denser and more uniform than conventional wood and plywood and is substituted for them when appearance and strength are less important than cost. However, Chipboard can be made more attractive by painting or the use of wood veneers onto surfaces that will be visible. Though it is denser than conventional wood, it is the lightest and weakest type of fiberboard, except for insulation board.

TUBULAR CHIPBOARD

Chipboard Suppliers In Dubai

Tubular Chipboard provides an ideal combination of light weight and stability. Compared to solid boards, the weight of Tubular Core is reduced by up to 60%. This allows high quality doors to be made without making them heavy. Tubular cores generally have a low thickness swelling, making them specifically apt for doors with delicate surfaces. The special positioning of the particles guarantees a very high impact resistance: Doors with Tubular Core withstand even the greatest impact despite maximum diameter of the tubes.

FLAX BOARDS

Flaxboard, is an engineered panel material in which shives from the stalk of the flax plant are bonded together with a synthetic resin adhesive. Flax shives are in fact a by-product of the linen industry. Flaxboard is defined as a particleboard in BS EN 309 and is specified in BS EN 15197 Wood-based panels. Flaxboards. Specifications as containing at least 70% flax and can also contain other raw materials such as particles of wood.

CEMENT FIBREBOARD

A cement board is a combination of cement and reinforcing fibers formed into 4 foot by 8 foot sheets that are typically used as a tile backing board. Cement board can be nailed or screwed to wood or steel studs to create a substrate for vertical tile and attached horizontally to plywood for tile floors, kitchen counters and backsplashes.
